On behalf of the executives and all members of the Esan Association of Southern California, I personally welcome you to our official website where you will gain knowledge and information of our rich Esan cultural heritage. This website will also give you insight of our commitment to fulfilling our goals to improving the lives of our people in Esanland and promoting love and unity amongst Esan People, other Nigerians and the community in which we live.

ABOUT ESANSOCAL!

Esan Association of Southern California is a non-profit organization based in the greater Los Angeles area. The association was founded in 1990 by a few concerned sons and daughters of Esanland based mostly in Los Angeles and Pasadena areas. At the time, the idea of the group was merely to form an association that will cater to the immediate needs of its members locally. The mission at the time was to facilitate a forum where sons and daughters of Esan heritage will meet periodically for social and cultural gathering events.

 

Mission Statement

 

The mission of Esan Association of Southern California is:

• To promote love and unity amongst Esan People of Edo State, other Nigerians and the community in which we live
• To organize Socio-Cultural events and activities for the enjoyment of organization members, other Nigerians and the community in which we live.
• To build strong family ties and to encourage a high level of moral conduct and other traditional standard of Esan family values.
• To organize activities that will teach our children our culture, moral, value, and beliefs.
• To build a bridge of commutation and partnership between the Esan people, governmental entities, none profit organizations, and businesses here and those in Nigeria.
